Mónica Balderrama is an experienced litigator who has been practicing law since 1998, after a two-year clerkship. Mónica manages a team of attorneys at ILG and oversees mass arbitrations, including the current litigation of over 1000 arbitrations against a major retailer.
Mónica graduated from Loyola Law School in 1996, where she received the Stella and Manuel Real Academic Scholarship and served as Academic Chair for La Raza student organization. Her career began as a law clerk in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California, for Hon. Alan M. Ahart and Hon. Kathleen P. March before moving on to a boutique entertainment law firm to practice business litigation. During that time, she second-chaired eight jury trials, first-chaired one bench trial, and second-chaired two arbitrations.
In 2004, Ms. Balderrama joined ILG, where she has handled individual employment matters as well as wage and hour and consumer class actions in state and federal courts and arbitration. While at ILG, Ms. Balderrama was a key member of the trial team in a wage and hour class action jury trial against a major insurance company that successfully settled during trial. She has certified numerous class actions and has settled over twenty class actions.
Mónica Balderrama is admitted to practice before all courts in California, and in the United States District Courts for the Central, Eastern, Southern and Northern Districts of California, as well as the Ninth Circuit.
Art Meneses is a seasoned litigator with over 33 years of experience practicing law in California. Art handles employment related litigation at ILG for both employers and employees. He has tried cases to verdict, as well as litigated successful appeals in both state and federal court jurisdictions.
Art received his Bachelor’s degree in History from University of California, Los Angeles in 1979, graduating Cum Laude and competing for the UCLA wrestling team. He went to law school at UCLA's School of Law, where he received his JD in 1982. Mr. Meneses was the Associate Editor of the Chicano Law Review, participated in Moot Court, and served an externship with the National Prison Project of the ACLU in Washington DC.
Art Meneses is an active member of the American Bar Association (ABA), Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA), Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA), and the ACLU and Trout Unlimited. He is admitted to practice before all the United States District Courts in California (Central, Southern, Northern and Eastern), as well as the 9th Circuit. Additionally, he has been admitted to practice before the US Supreme Court since 1987.
